As a not-for-profit credit union that serves over 84,000 Alaskans, Credit Union 1 is proud to help foster thriving, happy communities by always putting people first. Our credit union calls this homegrown passion #CU1LUV, and it inspires everything we do! We live each and every day with the mission to lead change, uplift others and value people – and we achieve this goal by offering a full suite of financial service to our members, fundraising for local causes, volunteering our time, teaching financial education and more, all across our state.
In 1952, Credit Union 1 began as a small Anchorage teachers’ credit union. Since then, we’ve grown to serve members from Ketchikan to Nome via our 14 branch network and array of e-Services that allow Alaskans to manage their money from anywhere with internet. We’re also part of a nationwide ATM cooperative that helps on-the-go Alaskans access their funds at over 30,000 locations from coast to coast!
Our credit union is also proud to employ over 350 local Alaskans, because we know that the people who make up our great state are also our most valuable resource in making Credit Union 1 great. To learn a bit more about our #CU1LUV spirit from the mouths of our employees, check out this neat video:
If you are not already a member, call or visit one of our CU1 branches today to become part of the family.
We live by the spirit of people helping people.
