CommUNITY Day
Credit Union 1’s CommUNITY Day tradition started on Indigenous Peoples Day 2015, when employees used their day off work to donate more than 900 volunteer hours to communities across Alaska. Thanks to the overwhelming success of these efforts, we’ve now made CommUNITY Day an annual event!
Our next CommUNITY Day will take place on Monday, October 14, 2019.
CU1 Scholarship Winners
Each year, Credit Union 1 is proud to award valuable scholarships to our fellow Alaskans in pursuit of higher education. These scholarships celebrate our roots as an Anchorage teachers’ credit union and our passion for lifelong learning! 2019 marks our 32nd year of awarding scholarship funds, and winners of this year’s Bill Countryman Scholarship include:
  • Riana B.
  • Tristan M.
  • Ana K.
  • Rafael B.
  • Bradley W.
  • Mattie G.
  • Natashia K.
  • Jennah D.
  • Fisher G.
  • Jade Marie S.
In total, we’re excited to give $21,000 in scholarship funds to the above CU1 members! We’d also like to extend special thanks to all talented applicants who applied for our 2019 Bill Countryman Scholarship. In reviewing each and every application, we were proud to see how you are expanding your education to help make Alaska an even better place to live.
Celebrate #CU1LUV Day
Throughout 2019, Credit Union 1 is hosting special #CU1LUV Day events in each of our branch communities. These free events are our way of saying thank you to all the friends, neighbors and CU1 members who help make Alaska such a special place to be!
